Michael J. Mazer, CAPS, CGB, GMB, has been creating, building and renovating homes for over 35 years. His skill, experience, passion and commitment have led him to a position of considerable influence in the industry. As a recipient of a 2007 Key Award for design excellence, presented by the Home builders Association of Greater Chicago, Mike has become increasingly aware of those characteristics in home design and construction that seem to endure with age. They are characteristics which give us a sense of stability, comfort and even joy. And in today’s high tech, fast-paced life styles, these elements are often missing.

Where and how we live is important to us. From the time Mike apprenticed under old-world Norwegian carpenters he was captured by their skillful use of materials. The care and pride each craftsman displayed in fitting the pieces together and a time when life moved along at a much slower pace.
